Senior Estimator, ICI Construction – Permanent – 3136 Vancouver/Victoria, BC
About the Opportunity
We are supporting a respected Western Canadian builder in the search for a Senior Estimator to join their preconstruction team in Vancouver or Victoria. This position is suited for an estimator who thrives on detailed analysis, clear communication, and providing cost certainty for complex ICI projects.
Key Responsibilities, But Not Limited To:
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for institutional, commercial, and light‑industrial projects
- Review drawings/specifications and confirm scope clarity and completeness
- Conduct quantity take‑offs, cost analyses, and full pricing submissions
- Manage subcontractor outreach, qualification, and pricing evaluation
- Work closely with preconstruction and operations teams to align budgets with design and project objectives
- Support bid strategies and contribute to cost database improvements
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Professional Mindset: Grit, Entrepreneur
- 7-12+ years estimating ICI projects with a general contractor
- Strong knowledge of BC market trade costs and procurement practices
- Proficiency with estimating software and digital take‑off tools
- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong communication and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
About the Job
- Take on a role with high visibility and influence during early project stages, supporting a builder known for quality, consistency, and solid client relationships in BC
- This role is located in Vancouver or Victoria, BC
- Salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000
