Senior Project Manager – Permanent – 3170 Calgary, AB
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing general contractor in the Calgary market, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of ICI construction projects ranging from approximately $5M to $60M. This role will focus on commercial, institutional, and light industrial builds, managing multiple projects and teams across the full project lifecycle.
This is an opportunity to join a reputable builder with a strong pipeline of secured work and a track record of delivering quality projects across the Calgary market.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead full-cycle project management across ICI construction projects ($5M-$60M)
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution from pre-construction through closeout
- Manage and mentor Project Managers, Coordinators, and project teams
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Monitor financial performance including cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks while driving overall project strategy
- Support business development efforts and contribute to repeat client work
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 8-15+ years of construction experience within ICI construction
- Proven experience managing commercial, institutional, and/or light industrial projects in the $5M-$60M range
- Strong leadership experience overseeing multiple projects and teams
- Solid financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
