About the Opportunity
Parker Huggett is proud to continue supporting our client’s search for a Manager to lead their Design Engineering Business unit.
Their group of companies is well diversified, dynamic and amongst one of the largest privately-owned construction groups in Ontario. Their continued growth is a testament to their values; partnering for productivity, leading through empowerment, and seeing challenges as opportunity.
They have always had professional engineers on staff to oversee the development and coordination of design for many of their projects alongside the consultants and design firms they have utilized, but are now growing this team with a view to take on more and more design in-house as the team grows. They are looking to bring on an ambitious Engineering Professional who can aid in the management and growth of this business unit.
Municipal infrastructure and civil projects make up the bulk of what this design team currently services, but the growth potential is ultimately limitless, as the overall business regularly tackles the design and delivery of major transit projects, ICI, Healthcare, Residential, Long-term care facilities, and much more.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Degree in Engineering
- Eng
- Experience in the design of municipal infrastructure, storm water management, or other civil engineering projects
- Experience managing clients, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall performance of a wider business unit
- A passion for both engineering and entrepreneurialism. While this is an establish, well-supported and well-structured division, we are ultimately seeking leadership qualities to see someone thrive with this challenge and take this business to the next level
About the Job
