About the Opportunity 

Parker Huggett is proud to continue supporting the growth of a diversified and dynamic, Canadian owned and operated General Contractor. Our client is looking for a Configuration Manager to join their Major Projects team and manage the configuration process on a multi-billion-dollar transit project within the GTA!

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Define the Configuration Management Scope and plan with Project Director and other Work Package Managers
  • Write the Configuration Management Plan which will outline the approach that the project team will take to be compliant with the overall project configuration management plan
  • Establish and maintain the configuration baseline. The Configuration Manager will ensure a clear definition of the Project baseline, control and manage baseline change control and ensure that this is efficiently updated and communicated in response to an approved change
  • Implement the Configuration Management System
  • Control and manage the configuration changes. Organize, lead the CCMB (Configuration Control Management Board) per the client requirements
  • Manage the configuration documentation of the system or product
  • Maintain project baseline data and administer the Trend and Change control process and provide guidance on its application
  • Manage the project controls related to configuration management at the project level
  • Take initiative to improve and optimize the Configuration Management process and tools
  • Adopt best practices, standards, or guidelines and provide training or support to the Project team or stakeholders as appropriate

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Completion of a degree in Engineering, or related field – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years experience working within the civil construction industry, ideally on large scale transit and rail projects
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Excellent stakeholder management ability
