About the Job
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all workers and visitors have site safety orientation. This includes documenting reviewing the site-specific safety plan, hazard identification and emergency response plan
- Ensuring all workers have required training to perform their tasks
- Assisting with incident/injury/near-miss reporting and completing the investigation and corrective action report
- Regularly monitoring safety compliance of workers and subcontractors by conducting formal and informal site inspections and recommending corrective actions if required
About You
- You are a HSE professional with prior experience in the field of new construction
- You have the relevant training, post-secondary education and certificates to possess a confident understanding of the Ontario Health and Safety Acts, regulations and best practices
- You are a confident and constructive communicator, capable of dealing with stakeholders at all levels
