About the Opportunity 

Parker Huggett is working with a privately-owned general contractor, making waves in the industry through their passion for delivering highly successful projects and empowering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. These pillars of their business have led them to great feats and now that will include delivering one of the largest transit projects in North America! 

As the team comes together for this major project, they are looking to identify an experienced Traffic Quality Manager who shares their values and the goal of delivering the best infrastructure to drive our communities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Traffic management and/or planning for roads and transit and proven experience managing and coordinating Quality Management Systems.

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Implement and create Traffic Quality Management Plan (TQMP) and Quality Systems Procedures (QSP’s)
  • Develop and manage respective QMPs day to day
  • Liaise with respective disciplines to coordinate quality activities
  • Conduct field Quality Assurance inspections and complete Site Condition Rating Checklists
  • Report on TQMS performance to the Construction Quality Manger
  • Report issues to the Traffic Manager and the Construction Quality Manager and issue NCRs for non-conforming work or processes
  • Takes action to immediately stop any work or activity related to the TQMP, which is not being performed or carried out in accordance with PA or applicable regulatory requirements
  • Preparing Traffic Management Audit Plans and checklists which will be integrated with the overall Quality Audit Program and scheduling and coordinating Internal Quality Audits and External Quality Audits of key processes identified in the TQMP

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A University degree in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineer, Planning), or the equivalent
  • Successfully completed an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor course
  • Proven experience of infrastructure projects
  • Sound judgment, excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills to deal with complex, multi-disciplinary issues involving Third Party agencies, governments, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities
