Parker Huggett has been engaged to recruit an Assistant Site Superintendent for a respected tier one general contractor delivering commercial and institutional projects across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.
As the Assistant Site Superintendent, you’ll work alongside a Senior Superintendent, supporting the day-to-day execution of active construction sites. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain exposure to all phases of construction while steadily building toward a future Superintendent position.
You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, mentored by experienced site leadership, and given room to grow.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supporting daily on-site operations to keep work progressing safely and on schedule
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades, and deliveries
- Assisting with site safety programs, toolbox talks, and compliance
- Monitoring quality control and workmanship standards
- Helping track schedules, deficiencies, and progress reports
- Maintaining site documentation and contributing to problem-solving as issues arise
- Acting as a visible, professional presence on site
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience working on construction sites in an assistant or junior supervisory capacity
- Exposure to commercial, institutional, or multi-unit projects (ICI experience is an asset)
- Strong understanding of site safety practices and construction sequencing
- A proactive, organized, and dependable work style
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn
- A team-first mindset with the ambition to grow into a Superintendent role

Salary Offering: $100,000 to $120,000 with company benefits, RRSP, and bonus potential
