Project Manager, ICI Construction – Permanent – 3150 Ottawa, ON

About the Opportunity

You’re an experienced ICI Project Manager who thrives on ownership, accountability, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. In this role, you’ll take full responsibility for delivering high-quality construction projects while helping shape a growing, entrepreneurial organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your impact will be felt early. You’ll work closely with senior construction leadership and site teams to drive performance, manage risk, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing all aspects of construction project delivery, including client relations, estimating, planning, scheduling, risk management, quality control, safety, procurement, and contract administration
  • Fully understanding contract documents, drawings, and specifications to guide project execution
  • Developing project budgets, schedules, execution plans, and identifying risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to site teams, providing direction and resolving technical or operational issues
  • Coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure scopes, schedules, and quality expectations are met
  • Reviewing and tracking shop drawings and submittals, managing revisions and approvals with consultants and site teams
  • Leading by example, coaching, developing, and motivating project and site personnel
  • Ensuring work complies with building codes, specifications, and approved changes
  • Implementing, managing, and monitoring site safety programs
  • Proactively identifying and solving problems before they impact schedule, cost, or quality
  • Supporting continuous improvement of project processes, policies, and execution standards

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering ICI projects, preferably with a General Contractor
  • Strong working knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OHSA regulations
  • Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical abilities

About the Job

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Projects located across Eastern Ontario, with flexibility to be site-based or operate from a Kanata office
  • Salary of $120,000 to $140,000/year depending on experience
  • Health and retirement benefits following a probationary period
  • Ongoing training and professional development encouraged and supported
  • Opportunity to play a meaningful role in the growth of a respected, regional ICI contractor delivering projects in the $1M–$60M range
