We’re leading their efforts to identify a talented Estimator to join their Toronto team – someone who wants to be part of a collaborative pre construction environment where estimating is at the core of their success, supported by a strong cast of industry professionals and rewarded accordingly.
As a key member of the pre construction team, you’ll be involved from early concept through tender close, working shoulder to shoulder with experienced estimators, project teams, and trusted trade partners.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accurately reading and analyzing Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Landscaping drawings to prepare scopes and quantities
- Preparing conceptual budgets and detailed estimates across lump sum, design build, and construction management delivery models
- Managing the estimating process end to end, from bills of quantities and tender packages through bid analysis and closing
- Working closely with subcontractors and suppliers to build strong, long term trade relationships
- Supporting value engineering, risk analysis, and pricing strategy discussions
- Balancing multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and clarity
- Collaborating with internal construction and development teams to ensure alignment from pre construction into execution
About You
You’re analytical, organized, and curious by nature. You understand that strong estimating is both a science and an art, combining technical skill, relationship-building, and intuition.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrable experience working with a General Contractor
- Exposure to Commercial and/ or Institutional construction projects
- A complete understanding of the estimating, quantities, procurement, pricing, value engineering, and risk
- Experience with or strong interest in the Design Build delivery process
- Foundational knowledge of pricing across multiple trades and divisions, with a willingness to keep learning
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills that allow you to collaborate effectively across teams
- The confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and contribute ideas in a respectful, team first environment
