About the Opportunity
Plenty of PM seats in the GTA come with a full plate and a thin mandate: run the job, but the buyout was done before you arrived, the client belongs to someone two levels up, and half your week disappears into internal reporting that nobody reads. This client runs a different model. Their PMs carry ICI projects from pre-construction through closeout and own the client relationship the whole way, because repeat clients are how this firm has grown. Signed work in the GTA is creating the seat now.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Full-cycle delivery of commercial, institutional, or light industrial projects in the GTA and surrounding Ontario markets
- Real involvement in buyout; you help pick the trades you’ll be living with
- Direct ownership of the client relationship on your project. Transparent reporting is the firm’s pitch to its clients, and the PM is the one who delivers it
- A short reporting line to senior leadership, without a regional layer in between
- A field team that’s supported by the office rather than managed around it
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- You’ve delivered ICI projects in Ontario where you owned the schedule, the budget, and the awkward client conversations
- You’re a construction professional at heart, and the thing you resent most about your current seat is how little of your week is actually spent building
- Clients you’ve built for would work with you again, and you know which ones
- You’d rather run one project properly than three projects nominally
