    • Experience with hoisting and rigging, including the planning and controls needed to do it right

    • A hunger to learn and the humility to know there’s always more to learn

  • Technical Director, Buildings – Permanent – 3239

    About the Opportunity

The vision behind some of the most complex projects will never be fully realized unless the gap between a client’s vision and a constructable reality is bridged. It’s simple to say, but far more difficult in practice. It’s both an art and a science and requires a skillful leader who can navigate all the challenges along the way to building great things. This is that opportunity and for someone capable, it’s the chance to be the catalyst that achieves some of Canada’s most ambitious builds and future landmarks.

You’ll lead the teams that sit at the centre of it all – the people who pull clients, consultants, trades, pre-construction and operations in one direction and keep them aligned from early planning through delivery. We are talking about high-profile ICI projects, coast to coast, with one of North America’s most established construction solutions partners. An employee-owned business, recognised as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for over 25 consecutive years.

If you have spent your career making complicated builds work and you want the scale and stability to do it on the projects that define Canadian communities, this is worth a conversation.

    About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

    • You bridge vision and buildability. You have a track record of translating ambitious design intent into something that can actually be delivered on time and on budget, on large and technically demanding projects
    • You lead the people in the middle. You are comfortable orchestrating clients, consultants, trades, pre-construction and operations teams, and getting alignment where it does not happen on its own
    • You think in design and delivery at once. Your background spans design management and construction delivery, so you understand both sides of the handoff and where projects tend to come unstuck
    • You operate at director level. You have led teams on major ICI builds and carried accountability for outcomes, not just tasks
    • You raise the standard. Quality, risk and value engineering are instincts, not afterthoughts, and you bring others up to that level

    About the Job

    • National scale, landmark work. You would be involved in leading the planning and delivery of some of Canada’s most complex projects in the built environment, coast to coast
    • An employee-owned business. As an employee-owner, your work and your judgement carry real weight in how both you and the company perform and grow
    • Stability with a long-established firm and the platform to be backed to do substantial work the right way
    • Genuine breadth. Hospitals, education, transit, defence, civil and more, which means variety and long-term career range rather than a single lane
    • A collaborative, true-partner culture. Built on commitment, integrity and reliability, with open and transparent communication baked into how the teams actually operate

    How to Apply

Please apply by completing the application form below and submitting your résumé. You can also apply by sending your résumé directly ScottH@ParkerHuggett.com or by contacting your Recruiter and quoting job 3239. • General Superintendent/Construction Manager, Water & Wastewater Infrastructure – Permanent – 3189

    About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands that great projects are won or lost in the field, long before concrete is poured and long after schedules are issued.

Our client is delivering some of the GTA’s most complex water and wastewater treatment facilities, and they’re looking for a senior field leader to take ownership of how those projects are planned, organized, and executed. As General Superintendent / Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping field operations from early planning through commissioning, ensuring teams, trades, and partners are aligned around a common goal: building critical infrastructure the right way.

This is an employee-owned organization with strong technical credibility and a long-standing reputation for tackling work others shy away from. They are growing with intent and investing in experienced leaders who want influence, responsibility, and a real voice in how complex projects get built.

If you enjoy solving problems before they show up on site and leading people through challenging builds that matter to communities, this role can open your career up to a world of possibilities!

    Your role will include:

    • Providing senior leadership across all field operations from early works through commissioning
    • Working closely with project management, engineering, and preconstruction teams to develop realistic execution plans
    • Setting construction strategies, sequencing approaches, and resource plans that drive schedule and reduce risk
    • Overseeing multiple Superintendents, supporting them in decision-making and day-to-day execution
    • Championing safety, quality, productivity, and collaboration on site
    • Acting as a senior field representative with owners, consultants, and trade partners
    • Identifying risks early and driving practical, field-informed solutions

    About You

You’ve likely spent years progressing through operational roles and now function comfortably at a large project or multi-site level. You understand how civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process scopes intersect on treatment facilities, and you know where coordination typically breaks down if leadership isn’t strong.

You would describe yourself as someone who:

    • Has led field operations on large, complex civil or infrastructure projects
    • Are comfortable overseeing multiple Superintendents and large, multi-discipline site teams
    • Brings a planning-first mindset, with a strong grasp of sequencing, constructability, and workforce strategy
    • Communicates clearly and earns trust with owners, engineers, and project partners
    • Leads calmly under pressure and makes sound decisions when conditions change
    • Holds safety, quality, and professionalism as absolutes, not talking points
    • Enjoys mentoring Superintendents and building the next generation of field leadership

You’re not chasing titles. You’re looking for the kind of role where your experience actually shapes successful outcomes.

    About the Job

As General Superintendent / Construction Manager, you will be accountable for the overall execution of water and wastewater treatment projects and other complex infrastructure, with a focus on field planning, team leadership, and delivery consistency.

    In return, you’ll find:

    • A leadership role on technically challenging projects of real scale

    • Employee ownership that aligns long-term thinking with long-term reward
    • Strong support from experienced operational and executive leadership
    • Competitive compensation and benefits tied to sustained success

  • Estimator, ICI – Permanent – 3205

    About the Opportunity

Successful projects and companies are decided well before construction starts. The groundwork takes place in pre-construction – interpreting intent, anticipating risk, and building pricing strategies that set teams up to win and deliver.

This opportunity is for an estimator who wants to be more than a passenger in your career journey. You’ll be joining a prominent and growing General Contractor that’s actively evolving its capabilities as a builder of complex, $100M+ new build projects. This is an organization in motion; they are investing in people, systems, and processes as they scale and develop.

You’ll join a collaborative, forward looking pre construction team in Toronto with strong mentorship. You’ll play a meaningful role in shaping how projects are priced, how risks are understood, and how work is ultimately executed – working closely with construction teams and trusted trade partners from early concept through tender close.

Estimating here isn’t transactional. It’s influential, highly visible, and central to the firm’s continued growth.

    About You

You’re detail oriented, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a group whose ambitions surpass their current set up; where there’s room to shape processes and influence outcomes, as well as your own career trajectory. You understand that great estimating blends technical skill with judgement, communication, and trust.

The successful candidate will have the following:

    • Experience working for a General Contractor
    • Exposure to Commercial and/or Institutional construction projects
    • A strong grasp of estimating fundamentals including quantities, procurement, pricing, value engineering, and risk
    • Experience with, or a clear interest in, Design Build project delivery
    • A solid understanding of trade pricing and divisions, with a mindset geared toward continuous learning
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams
    • The confidence to ask questions, test ideas, and contribute constructively in a team first environment

    About the Job

This is a long term career move with a contractor that’s intentionally building its future. You’ll be joining:

    • A growing organization that’s investing in its people as it scales its project capabilities
    • A pre construction environment where estimators have influence and visibility
    • A team delivering large scale, complex projects that will stretch and develop your skill set
    • A business that values balance and can support hybrid working through trust and strong systems
    • A grounded, high performing team that works hard, supports one another, and enjoys the process
    • A salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000
